The CEO of Southend East Community Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a SENCo for the Autism Resource Base. This exciting and unusual role is central to delivering the highest quality provision for those of our students who join our newly established specialist Autism Resource Base (ARB) at Thorpedene Primary School and Shoeburyness High School.

We require a SENCo to be part of the Leadership team. We need someone to lead and innovate within the ARB, supporting both primary and secondary-age pupils. It will involve working collaboratively with a diverse team to meet the needs of our pupils and champion inclusive education. You will maintain some teaching responsibility within the Autism Resource Base, delivering high-quality, specialist lessons.

This role is being offered on the Teachers Leadership Scale L1 to L3, as either full-time or part-time, as the priority is to find the right person for this role.

The Central Multi-Academy Trust Head Office is based at SECAT House, which is in the extensive grounds of Thorpedene Primary School. The Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and PA to the Executive Team, all work from SECAT House. The Central Finance Team, the Central ICT Team, the Central Estates Team and the Central HR Team are all based in Shoeburyness High School. Each school has a Local Academy Committee, to which the Trust Board delegate responsibilities.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
