Layer de la Haye Primary School are seeking to appoint an experienced and dedicated School Business Manager to join our hardworking team. Visits to the school are encouraged. Please contact the school office to make an appointment.
Actual salary: £32,166 - £38,987 per annum (Band 8-9 scale point 25-33 depending on experience).
Hours of Work: 7 hours per day (8.30am - 4pm), 35 hours per week, 41 weeks per year (term time plus 2 weeks).
Preferred start date: November 2026.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of business and finance in the school, ensuring its sustainability for the future. The successful candidate will:
- Be experienced in the field of business and finance;
- Demonstrate an understanding of a school management/finance system;
- Be self-motivated and organised;
- Have experience of payroll systems;
- Have successful experience of managing the professional development of staff members;
- Be experienced in strategic planning and act as an advisor to all senior leaders, including governors;
- Be committed to the safeguarding of all children.
