We are looking to recruit Mid‑day Assistants to support our learners during the lunch time period (11:50 a.m. – 1:20 p.m.). This role involves working almost 7.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only. The school serves learners aged 3‑19 with severe to complex needs and requires support with personal care.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to learners during lunchtime sessions, including assisting with movement and activities.
- Deliver personal care to learners as required.
- Work effectively as part of a team and maintain a positive, patient, and tolerant atmosphere.
- Support learners in extracurricular activities such as swimming and community access.
Qualifications
- Experience or willingness to work with children, preferably with SEN or complex needs.
- Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate patience, tolerance and understanding.
- Willingness to start or progress a career within a SEN school.
