The Governing Body are seeking to appoint a reliable, committed Cleaner to join our established team.
Person Specification
- Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential).
- Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision to undertake routine tasks.
- Ability to carry out a range of manual cleaning duties.
- Ability to understand written/oral instructions and requests.
- Awareness of health and safety and hygiene procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
Duties
- Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices and shared areas to a high standard, emptying bins, dusting, wiping surfaces, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Carry out, as necessary, the replacement of roller towels, renewing supply of toilet rolls and replacement of bin liners.
- Assist as necessary with the cleaning up after break-in or vandalism at the school.
- Notify the Site Manager or Headteacher of any damage to buildings and equipment or of anything that may be dangerous to pupils and/or staff.
- All employees are expected to show a responsible attitude to health and safety issues and have due regard for their personal safety and that of others.
- Perform other duties relating to the cleanliness of the school premises as may be necessary from time to time within the reasonable requirements of the Headteacher and Governing Body.
- Respect confidentiality at all times.
