ST TALENT are recruiting on behalf of a growing business based in Yeadon, Leeds, for a Driver & Warehouse Operative to join their team.
This is a varied, hands-on role that combines warehouse responsibilities with regular driving and site deliveries.
The successful candidate will be comfortable splitting their time between warehouse operations and driving company vans to deliver materials and equipment to project sites.
This opportunity would suit someone who has previous experience working as a Warehouse Operative and has carried out deliveries as part of their role.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-managed warehouse environment.
- Check incoming deliveries against paperwork and report any discrepancies.
- Carry out stock checks and report shortages, damage, or missing items.
- Ensure all materials and equipment are stored securely and correctly.
- Drive company vans to deliver materials and equipment to sites across Yorkshire.
- Plan delivery routes and ensure all deliveries arrive on time.
- Assist with unloading materials, positioning equipment, and completing collections.
- Support site set-ups and site clear-downs when required.
- Carry out basic vehicle and equipment inspections and report any issues.
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues regarding delivery schedules and operational requirements.
- Provide support to the wider team and assist with additional operational tasks when needed.
About You
- Previous experience working as a Warehouse Operative or in a similar logistics role.
- Experience completing deliveries as part of a previous role.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Comfortable driving vans as part of your daily duties.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently.
- Flexible and willing to accommodate occasional early starts.
- FLT (Forklift Truck) licence (desirable)
