About the Role
ST TALENT is partnering with an established, respected medium-sized main contractor to find a skilled Estimator for their Leeds office.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will prepare robust time and cost estimates for new work enquiries.
The role involves pricing a diverse range of opportunities, including
- High-value, long-term contracts and framework agreements
- One-off projects typically ranging from £20,000 to £1,000,000
- Diverse sectors including schools, universities, healthcare, bespoke builds, and warehouses
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of accurate, competitive time and cost estimates.
- Independently undertake site visits and assess project requirements.
- Engage with public sector procurement and framework providers.
- Work closely with senior management to secure future business.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working for a main contractor within refurbishment, maintenance, fit-out, or new-build environments.
- Solid knowledge of public sector procurement and tendering procedures.
- Experience using estimating software and tender management platforms (knowledge of Simpro is desirable but not essential).
- Clear understanding of framework providers and public sector frameworks.
- Ability to undertake site visits and assess project requirements independently.
