Thank you for your interest in working at St Stephen’s Church School. We are looking for a highly organised and well-motivated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team to support a pupil who:

  • has a good understanding of effective SEND practices and is prepared to reflect and develop.
  • is caring, patient and self-motivated.
  • places building positive relationships at the heart of what they do, providing encouragement and reassurance.
  • has knowledge of (or an interest in learning about) emotion coaching techniques to support development of emotional literacy and regulation skills.
  • has an awareness of when to 'step in or step out' to help the child to develop their own capacity to learn.
  • is able to support social communication skills.
