We are recruiting an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced Welder to join our client specialising in equipment hire for the construction industry based in the Ashton In Makerfield area. This role will support a growing operations team, and the successful candidate will be able to up skill and develop through the company.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Fabricate metal components including cutting, drilling, bending, forming, and assembling.
  • Perform welding (typically MIG, TIG, and/or MMA depending on company requirements) to required quality standards.
  • Carry out positional welding where required (e.g., vertical, overhead).
  • Inspect completed welds for structural integrity, accuracy, and conformance.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience as a Fabricator Welder in a workshop or engineering environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong fabrication skills including cutting, measuring, forming, and assembling.
