We are recruiting for a Senior Depot Manager role in the Portsmouth area. Our client in the construction hire sector is seeking an experienced Depot Manager to take full responsibility for a fast paced depot.
Main Duties:
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the depot
- Recruiting and mentoring staff
- Managing a customer base and developing plans to increase business
- Maximising growth and profitability
- Ensuring that high levels of service are maintained
- Holding team meetings
- Liaising with key customers to make sure they’re satisfied with the depot’s performance
- Managing stock levels
- Monitoring health and safety in the depot
- Full P&L responsibility
Requirements:
- Experience of managing a large team in a fast paced operational environment
- Experience of management in a busy sales led, growing company
- Able to recruit across multiple roles
- Exceptional people management skills - able to mentor, develop and train a team to a high level
- Ability to demonstrate business acumen
- Previous experience of a senior management role within the construction hire sector
