We are recruiting for a Depot Manager for a large national client who manufacture and supply large equipment used within industrial and construction industries.

Location: Portlaoise, County Laoise

Salary: £60k basic (€70K) + 10% bonus + excellent benefits

Role:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the site and grounds, managing logistics, supervising staff, and ensuring safety and efficiency in operations.
  • Building relationships internally with the customer service team, and externally with customers, suppliers and hauliers.
  • Conducting regular inspections to maintain safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Ensuring that the depot is kept clean and organised.
  • Developing and implementing processes and procedures for continual improvement.
  • Providing training and development for yard staff and maintaining records.
  • Ensuring that all team members adhere to health & safety protocols and use PPE as required.
  • Driving company vehicles safely and performing vehicle and equipment inspections.
  • Hands on role - attaching trucks to trailers, moving heavy equipment, and coordinating transportation for material delivery.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a depot management role.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics, materials management, and safety protocols.
  • Experience in freight management and transportation coordination.
  • Comfortable with heavy lifting and working outdoors.
  • Proficient in computer use for inventory management and reporting.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Very proactive approach and driving efficiency.
