Job Title – Lift Service/Call out Engineer

On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a Service Engineer to carry out routine servicing of lift equipment, including minor repair work and the routine replacement of components in accordance with approved company procedures (PPE, PDA, Expert+ etc).
Key Duties
- To rectify and reduce faults on lift/escalator equipment in cases of breakdown and check to confirm correct functioning.
- Checking the lift/escalator function as part of a maintenance regime: checks to include speed, motor start/stop, weight, noise, temperature and power supplies using approved company issued tooling and protective equipment.
- Carry out the routine inspection and adjustment in accordance with approved procedures. Reinstate lift/escalator and complete service documentation.
- Carrying out fault finding and diagnostic procedures using a range of techniques, technical manuals and appropriate test equipment, restoring equipment to service. Competence is required to make effective use of written or graphical information.
- Employees are required to carry out all works in accordance with the Company\’s Quality Corporate policy.
- Employees are required to attend all relevant training sessions to keep up to date on technical knowledge and skills.
- All employees are required to work in accordance with the Company\’s Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current UK legal requirements.
- Employees will be required to contribute to the Company safety objectives, where necessary by maintaining/monitoring current safety systems under their direct control and implementing agreed changes (where applicable) to its safety management system.
Key Requirements
- Experience in lift/escalator Servicing/ Maintenance/ Repairs preferred
- Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in Lift/Escalator maintenance or equivalent.
- Basic Electrical and Mechanical knowledge, including Multi-Brand Equipment.
- Basic problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving License
