Job Description

Company – National Manufacturer and Installation Company\\nJob Title – Lift Service/Call out Engineer\\nLocation – London and the South\\nSalary – £35,000 – £50,000\\nOn behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a Service Engineer to carry out routine servicing of lift equipment, including minor repair work and the routine replacement of components in accordance with approved company procedures (PPE, PDA, Expert+ etc).\\nKey Duties\\n * To rectify and reduce faults on lift/escalator equipment in cases of breakdown and check to confirm correct functioning.\\n * Checking the lift/escalator function as part of a maintenance regime: checks to include speed, motor start/stop, weight, noise, temperature and power supplies using approved company issued tooling and protective equipment.\\n * Carry out the routine inspection and adjustment in accordance with approved procedures. Reinstate lift/escalator and complete service documentation.\\n * Carrying out fault finding and diagnostic procedures using a range of techniques, technical manuals and appropriate test equipment, restoring equipment to service. Competence is required to make effective use of written or graphical information.\\n * Employees are required to carry out all works in accordance with the Company’s Quality Corporate policy.\\n * Employees are required to attend all relevant training sessions to keep up to date on technical knowledge and skills.\\n * All employees are required to work in accordance with the Company’s Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current UK legal requirements\\n * Employees will be required to contribute to the Company safety objectives, where necessary by maintaining/monitoring current safety systems under their direct control and implementing agreed changes (where applicable) to its safety management system.\\nKey Requirements\\nExperience in lift/escalator Servicing/ Maintenance/ Repairs preferred\\n * Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in Lift/Escalator maintenance or equivalent.\\n * Basic Electrical and Mechanical knowledge, including Multi-Brand Equipment.\\n * Basic problem-solving skills\\n * Full UK driving License
