We are recruiting a great opportunity for an Operations Support Engineer to join an established manufacturing company within the Barton Under Needwood area. You will provide Operational Engineering Support as required with the main focus on improving the core operational delivery through structured process improvement.
Location: Barton Under Needwood
Salary: £38-42K
Hours: 7.30am-4.00pm Monday to Thursday, 7.30am-12.30pm Friday

Role & Responsibilities:
- Supporting audit and compliance to safety and quality management systems
- Delivery of Work Instructions for all operational activities
- Root cause analysis and process improvement
- Facilitation for improvement in production planning and materials availability
- Resolution of engineering issues
- Supporting new product development process
- Helping to deliver Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
- Development of product matrix around time, effort and costs
- Facilitation of improved scrap level
Skills and Experience:
- HNC/ HND Degree educated or equivalent is essential in Electrical / Electronic/ Software/ Mechanical Engineering
- Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to extract raw data, analyse and generate insight
- Experience with QMS and Specifically Change Management and Non-Conformance Processes and Procedures
- Relentless attitude to Health & Safety
- Process driven with MRP/ERP being a natural part of thinking
- Proven, proactive and positive hands-on approach, leading and delivering Continuous Improvement and LEAN through a wider team
- A communicator, motivator with a “can do, will do” attitude
- Strong IT for data analysis
- Project Management capability
