Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity to grow your skills and be part of a dynamic team? We’re seeking an enthusiastic retail assistant to join us in our Raynes Park shop.

What you will do:

  • Welcoming and engaging with customers
  • Working on the till processing sales and promoting Gift Aid
  • Assist the manager in ensuring merchandise is displayed in an attractive manner
  • Ensure that the premises are welcoming, kept clean and tidy
  • Work with volunteer team to deliver excellent customer service
  • Train & develop volunteers under the guidance of the shops management
  • Accepting donations from the public in line with St Raphael’s policy & Procedure
  • Support and understand the sorting & pricing structure in the shop under the management guidance
  • Understand the opening and closing processes of the shop sufficient to support deputising managers
  • Ensure that St Raphael’s Hospice and retail policies are adhered to
  • Be responsible for ensuring the shop environment complies with all H&S policies
  • To cover other shops, from time to time, across the St Raphael’s Hospice chain as required

Person Specification:

  • Experience of working in a customer focussed environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Passion for the charity sector
  • Calm and professional and ability to work individually or as part of a team
  • Physically fit and able to carry out some aspects of manual handling
  • Flexibility and self-motivation
