There are two roles available: a 8:45–11:45 a.m. morning position (15 hrs per week, term time only, 39 weeks per year) and a 1:15–3:15 p.m. afternoon position (10 hrs per week, term time only, 39 weeks per year).
About This Role
Saint Mary's Catholic Voluntary Academy New Mills, part of the St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, is located in Insert School Location. We are an Ofsted-rated good school. As a Teaching Assistant, you will support classroom teachers and small‑group sessions with children aged 3–11, engaging them, providing in‑class and small‑group support, and occasionally planning work and assessing progress. The role is offered on a fixed term basis; the morning role is 15 hours per week (term time only, 39 weeks per year) and the afternoon role is 10 hours per week (term time only, 39 weeks per year). This role is a Band 3 NJC scale, points 6 to 9, FTE (£25,989 – £27,254). Advert closing date may be brought forward depending upon interest. An enhanced DBS check and other pre‑employment checks are required for successful applicants.
