About This Role

Grade/SCP: Band 2, SCP 3-5

Salary: £19,941 – £20,574

Job Type: Part‑time, Permanent

Hours and Basis: 34.5 hours per week over 39 weeks per year (term‑time only)

Your responsibilities

  • Preparing, setting up, and testing practical experiments and demonstrations.
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring stock levels of chemicals and resources.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assisting teachers during practical lessons and supporting students with experiments.
  • Managing the safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Keeping science laboratories clean, organised, and well‑maintained.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to work independently, use their own initiative and as part of a team.
