The core purpose of the role is to lead and coordinate the invigilation team to ensure the secure, smooth, and compliant running of all internal and external examinations in accordance with JCQ regulations, academy policies, and legal requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of invigilators during examination sessions, ensuring all staff understand their duties and follow correct procedures.
- Provide on‑day guidance, task allocation, and support to invigilators, acting as the first point of contact for queries or issues.
- Ensure all examination regulations, including JCQ and academy requirements, are consistently upheld.
- Monitor invigilator performance and report concerns or training needs to the Examinations Officer.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must hold satisfactory references, pass an enhanced DBS check, medical check, and provide evidence of qualifications plus verification of the right to work in the UK.
- Prior experience in exam invigilation is desirable.
