Saint John Houghton Catholic Voluntary Academy opened in January 1965 as The Blessed John Houghton Catholic School to provide a secondary Catholic education in the local area. Responsibilities
- Deputise for the Headteacher in their absence.
- Help to formulate the aims and objectives of the school and to develop policies and whole school strategies to achieve them.
- Support the Headteacher in organising the day-to-day running of the school.
