Cover Supervisor
Job Type: Full time, permanent. Hours and Basis: 32.5 hours per week over 39 weeks per year (term-time only). Grade: Band 3, SCP 6-9. Salary: £25,989 – £27,254 full time equivalent (£19,689.30 – £20,647.67 actual). Located in Burton-upon-Trent, Blessed Robert Sutton Catholic Voluntary Academy.
About This Role
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Cover Supervisor to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who have experience working with young people and are looking to gain classroom experience in a secondary school setting. As a Cover Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged, and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervising classes during short-term teacher absences
- Delivering prepared lesson materials to students
- Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment
- Supporting students with their learning and responding to any queries
- Establishing productive working relationships with pupils and staff, acting as a role model and setting high standards

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to deliver lessons to students and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
