Role Purpose
The Global Supply Planner is responsible for converting the global demand plan into executable supply plans, utilising a network of internal and external manufacturing partners across multiple global locations. This role owns the translation of demand into short‑term execution plans, medium‑term capacity plans, and long‑term supply strategies, ensuring production capacity and capability are aligned with business requirements. The Global Supply Planner manages the team responsible for day‑to‑day order processing while maintaining a forward‑looking view of supply risk, constraints, and opportunities.
Key Accountabilities
- Supply Planning & Demand Translation: Translate the global demand plan into robust supply plans across short, medium, and long‑term horizons. Ensure supply plans are feasible, balanced, and aligned to manufacturing capacity, capability, and inventory strategy. Clearly document assumptions, constraints, and trade‑offs within the supply plan.
- Global Manufacturing & Capacity Management: Plan and balance production across internal and third‑party manufacturing sites globally. Maintain a clear view of production capacity and capability by site and product. Identify short‑, medium‑, and long‑term capacity risks and opportunities. Support scenario modelling to inform capacity, sourcing, and growth decisions.
- Supply Risk & Performance Management: Monitor supply performance against plan (service, adherence, capacity utilisation). Identify root causes of supply variance and work with manufacturing partners to resolve issues. Provide clear supply risks, mitigation options, and scenarios into S&OP.
- S&OP & Cross‑Functional Alignment: Act as the primary supply input owner into the S&OP process. Work closely with S&OP lead and Demand planning team to ensure demand and supply alignment. Support trade‑off decisions by presenting clear supply options and constraints.
- Process, Systems & Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in global supply planning processes and tools. Identify opportunities to improve planning efficiency, visibility, and accuracy through systems and automation. Support planning system development in collaboration with IT and Planning leadership.

- Essential: Proven experience in Supply Planning within a complex, multi‑site or global supply chain. Strong experience of managing and developing teams in a planning environment. Strong understanding of production capacity and capability planning. Experience managing short‑term execution alongside long‑term planning. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Confident communicator able to influence internal teams and external partners.
- Desirable: FMCG or fast‑moving consumer goods experience. Experience working with outsourced or third‑party manufacturing. Exposure to global S&OP / IBP processes.
