We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work with students who have learning needs. The students may have learning difficulties due to medical needs or specific learning difficulties. They will need support in class and with activities to help them meet their full potential, build self-esteem and confidence, and progress.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with specific learning needs.
- Deliver and develop support strategies and programmes.
- Assist with classroom activities and help students meet their potential.
- Collaborate with the teaching staff to share best practices and develop resources.
Qualifications
- Enthusiastic, resourceful and understanding, with a positive outlook.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to young people.
- Experience working with learners with special educational needs is desirable.
Assessment
If shortlisted, candidates will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy test. Successful candidates will be invited to interview.
Hours & Salary
36 hours per week Monday – Friday Term Time plus 2 weeks Scale Sc1c/3, Points 4-6: £24,801 – £25,510 gross per annum (£28,125 – £28,929 FTE)
