The predicted salary is between 24000 - 30000 £ per year.
We are recruiting for a reliable and experienced cook to join our busy kitchen and team. A person who has high standards in quality and presentation, delivering the very best nutritional meals.
You would be able to work within budgets as set by the home manager. At Whim Hall Care Centre our residents prefer good old fashioned home cooking, for example: Sunday Roasts and for puddings our residents enjoy a jam sponge or crumble with custard. For birthdays, we make a special effort to celebrate so our cooks and kitchen assistants make a range of cakes and sponges for these special occasions.

The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS / PVG check.
It is preferable for you to have:
- Minimum qualification NVQ Level 2 or 706/2 in Catering
- Basic or Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate
- Knowledge of textured and modified diets
- Experience in a care, hospital or commercial kitchen setting would be advantageous but not essential as full training can be provided
- Good verbal and written skills
- The ability to relate to our residents in a kind and courteous manner
