Overview
You are responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home for our residents, cleaning and caring for residents' rooms and ensuring they are homely and tidy. You are responsible for communal areas, showers, bathrooms, dining area and seating areas. Our Care Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Domestic Housekeeping Assistant to assist in the day-to-day running of a busy and vibrant care establishment. You will be reporting to the Care Home Manager.
Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and tidiness in residents' rooms, communal areas, showers, bathrooms, dining areas and seating areas.
- Be flexible in approach to work and able to prioritise workload.
- Use resources economically and effectively; select appropriate cleaning solutions and equipment for each task.
- Report any accidents, untoward incidents, hazards and unsafe equipment.
- Maintain awareness of COSHH and health and safety in the workplace.
Qualifications and desirable experience
- Previous experience of care work in a hospital or care home (desirable).
- An interest in the care of the elderly (desirable).
- High attention to detail, high standards and pride in one’s work; a flexible approach to work; good work ethic; ability to prioritise workload.
