As a Care Assistant you will be responsible for:
- Understanding and providing the requirements for “normal” health and the impact of continued care on client and family.
- Assisting the client in any area of daily care they would normally undertake themselves.
- Participating in holistic caring activities.
- Providing care for all clients’ needs to optimise their independence.
- Reading and acting on Care Plans to promote continuity of care.
- Respecting individual confidentiality rights.
- Performing moving and handling, dressing, and assisting residents in daily hygiene and dressing.
- Observing and reporting any changes in resident condition.
- Reporting hazards or unsafe equipment to senior staff, safeguarding health and safety.
- Attending required in‑service training and mandatory legal training.
Desirable qualifications and experience:
- Previous experience of care work in a hospital, care or nursing home.
- A passion for care of the elderly.
- NVQ2 / SVQ2 or QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care or Care.
