Domestic & Laundry Assistant - Ditton Priors Care Centre

St Philip's Care is dedicated to providing outstanding care to our clients. As a part of the housekeeping team, you are a valued and respected member of the team. We are looking for an individual who has high attention to detail, high standards, and pride in their work.

You are responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home for our residents, cleaning and caring for our residents' rooms, and ensuring they are homely and tidy. You will also be responsible for communal areas, showers, bathrooms, dining areas, and seating areas.

Our Care Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Domestic Housekeeping Assistant to assist in the day-to-day running of a busy and vibrant care establishment. You will be reporting to the Care Home Manager.

Candidates Should Have:

  • A flexible approach to work
  • High standards and good work ethic
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Be able to use resources economically and effectively
  • Awareness of correct cleaning solutions and equipment for the correct job
  • Responsibility to report any accidents, untoward incidents, hazards, and unsafe equipment
  • An awareness of COSHH and health and safety in the workplace

As a Domestic and Laundry Assistant, it would be desirable to have:

  • Previous experience of care work in a Hospital or Care Home
  • An interest in the Care of the Elderly
