About Us

Rick and Jill Stein’s family‑run business has grown from a single restaurant in Padstow to a thriving hospitality group. We now have 10 restaurants, a hotel, a cookery school, and shops across the south of England. Despite our growth, we remain deeply committed to our values and family roots – Rick and Jill, along with their sons, are still heavily involved in the business today. St Petrocs Bistro was the second of Rick Stein and Jill Stein’s restaurants opened in 1988. Our Bistro has grown over the years specialising in bistro food from Britain, France, Spain and Italy. In 2016 Ruby’s Bar was opened next door to St Petrocs Bistro; our front‑of‑house team enjoy looking after guests at both St Petrocs Bistro and Ruby’s Bar.
