St Peter's Trust maintains the landmark Grade II* 15th century building in Marlborough, Wiltshire. Candidates will live in the surrounding area. Our existing Treasurer retired in 2025, hence the search for a new Treasurer.
Over the past two years we have been transforming the charity in order to evolve St Peter's into a vibrant hub for the community. At the same time we are facing the challenge of maintaining a 15th century building in what has become a challenging environment for fundraising and grants. The treasurer role is critical to providing guidance and leadership whilst ensuring governance and oversight as we progress on our transformation efforts.
What are we looking for?
- Financial Statements, Financial Planning, and Finance skills
- Budgeting and Accounting skills
- Experience in financial management and reporting
- Knowledge of nonprofit financial regulations and compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Relevant professional certification preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role within the charitable sector is a plus
What will you be doing?
This is a part-time volunteer Trustee role for a Board of Trustees Treasurer for St Peter's Marlborough. The Treasurer will be responsible for financial statements, financial planning, finance, budgeting, and accounting activities to support the trust's mission and operations.
