St Peter’s Preparatory School, Lympstone is seeking a dedicated, proactive and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide tailored 1:1 support for a pupil with identified special educational needs as they access the KS3 curriculum and wider school life.

Experience of working 1:1 with children who have additional needs, specifically Autism and communication and interaction difficulties, is essential, as is a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).

You will play a key role in planning, preparing and delivering an individualised programme of support in line with the pupil’s Education Health Care Plan (EHCP), contributing to assessment and record‑keeping, and promoting independence, wellbeing and progress.

This is a term-time only position, working 9 hours per week (including INSET days): Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 13:00-16:00. The salary is £4,575 per annum (including paid holiday entitlement), which will be paid in twelve equal monthly instalments. The position is linked to external funding.

A similar, separately funded part-time opportunity is also available (details can be found on the school website), and applications from candidates interested in undertaking both roles are welcome.
