Main duties of the job include supporting clinicians with patient care by carrying out delegated clinical tasks such as taking observations, performing health checks, phlebotomy, wound care, immunisations, suture removal, ear irrigation and ECGs.

Job responsibilities:
- Taking and recording physiological measurements:
- Blood pressure
- Pulse
- Temperature
- Height, weight, and BMI
- ECG recording
- New patient health checks
- NHS Health Checks
Stock Management & Supplies:
- Monitoring and maintaining clinical stock levels to ensure adequate supplies at all times
- Ordering clinical and non-clinical supplies in line with practice procedures and agreed budgets
- Checking deliveries, rotating stock, and ensuring items are stored safely and appropriately
- Monitoring expiry dates and removing out-of-date stock promptly
- Reporting shortages, issues with supplies, or equipment faults to the appropriate lead
- Supporting cost-effective stock usage and minimising waste
Person Specification:
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards
- Commitment to ongoing training and competency development
- Disclosure and Barring Service Check: This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
