The Vacancy Sales Assistant roles help you to develop a wide range of skills which you can take with you throughout your career! We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the team as a Weekend Sales Assistant at our Nailseestore! You will receive full training and will be supported by experienced, knowledgeable, and friendly managers and team members. The details: Salary: £12.21 per hour, aged 21 and over (£23,874 FTE per annum) Salary: £10.00 per hour, aged under 21 (£19,553 FTE per annum) Working 14 hours per week, 7.5 hours on Saturdays, and 6.5 hours on Sundays What we are looking for: Excellent communication and organizational skills with a proactive approach Able to work in a fast-paced environment A genuine interest in home wear, furniture, second hand, and charity retail Ability to carry out manual handling tasks Open and adaptable to change and able to support others through it Effective verbal and written communication skills IT literacy and numeracy skills. Using email systems and online resources; use and understand basic spreadsheets Previous retail experience would be useful but not essential Key responsibilities: In the absence of management, open and close the store and ensure it trades safely and legally Assist the management team in achieving profit targets by reducing costs and maximising sales Operate as part of the overall shop team, willingly carrying out any tasks necessary for the shop\’s success and smooth running Support delivering a high standard of presentation throughout, including windows and shop floor Assist the management team in implementing changes to ensure optimum sales Help generate and encourage stock donations from the public Actively support and demonstrate our values through your role You may be asked to take responsibility for the store on an ad hoc basis, so supervisory experience is preferred.
