We have an exciting opportunity for a Hospice Doctor to join our hospice medical team in provision of palliative medicine on our inpatient unit, and when needed, via our advice line or through assessment of patients in the community.
The Hospice Doctor may have an opportunity to contribute to our out of hours support to the inpatient unit and advice line through the junior on call rota from February 2027, at a maximum frequency of 1 in 6.
The Hospice Doctor will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to provide holistic palliative care as part of the multi-disciplinary team. They will be part of the hospice medical team, reporting to our Medical Director. They will be working in a supportive and collaborative environment for a much-loved local Charity, dedicated to making a difference in the lives of thousands of patients, their families and carers when it matters most.
What we can offer:
- Salary FTE equivalent to ST3 (£67,325), plus on call supplement
- Working hours: 2 PAs a week (8 hours), ideally two afternoon sessions including Friday, plus possibility of on call commitment from Feb 2027, maximum 1 in 6.
