Are you an experienced administration professional with strong organisational, people-management and systems skills? St Peter’s Hospice is looking for a Community Nursing Administration Support Manager to help ensure the effective day-to-day delivery of our Community Nursing Service.
This is a varied and rewarding administrative management role with a particular focus on efficient processes, data quality and continuous improvement. You will line-manage designated community administration staff, support service developments and act as system administrator for e-rostering across the Patient Care Directorate. Approximately 20% of the role will focus on e-rostering responsibilities, with training provided.
What you will be doing
- Leading and supporting designated community administration staff to deliver a consistent, responsive service.
- Reviewing administrative systems and processes, recommending improvements and coordinating agreed changes.
- Managing competing priorities, allocating routine work and ensuring deadlines and service standards are met.
- Supporting audits, incident follow-up, risk assessments, policies, procedures, reports and service-improvement work.
- Maintaining and developing effective use of the e-rostering system, including user support, training, testing, routine configuration and reporting.
- Working collaboratively with Community Nursing teams, clinical managers, HR, IT and colleagues across the Hospice.
About you
You will be educated to degree level or able to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge alongside substantial relevant administrative experience. You will have experience of supervising or line-managing staff, reviewing operational processes and using databases or electronic information systems.
With excellent organisational, communication and IT skills, you will be confident managing a busy workload, solving practical problems and presenting information clearly. Experience in a healthcare, hospice or NHS setting, project support or service improvement would be an advantage. Previous e-rostering experience is welcome but not essential, provided you are willing and able to develop this knowledge through the training provided.
- Seeking working hours of 37.5 hours per week, or 30 hours per week for the right candidate
- Band 5 equivalent salary from £32,073 to £39,043 per year (FTE)
- Located at Brentry, with occasional travel to external clincial locations
- Free parking and onsite cafe
- Paid DBS check
