While we are ideally looking for candidates with the ability to support our senior curriculum, we welcome interest from anyone passionate about supporting students across Years 7 to 13. These roles require a passion for learning, an approachable nature, and proven relationship-building and communication skills. Experience in a similar role and/or a LAT/teaching qualification would be an advantage, but is not essential, as we offer career development support to help you achieve your qualification goals. To be considered, you must have the right to work in New Zealand and ideally live locally.

Key aspects of the role include in-class support, as well as individualised and small-group learning support. Successful candidates will:

  • Ideally possess the capability to support students within the senior curriculum, while remaining enthusiastic about working across Year 7–13 range.
  • Possess a genuine desire to “make a positive difference” for adolescents in education.
  • Have an understanding of, and ideally experience in, supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Demonstrate the ability to build and maintain effective, productive, and respectful working relationships.
  • Display initiative and the ability to work effectively with minimal direct supervision.
  • Be computer literate, with a willingness to use adaptive technologies to support student learning.
  • Be able to interpret data to plan targeted interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and wider staff colleagues.
  • Be willing to undertake regular professional learning.

We have two permanent positions starting Term 3, with standard hours from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday during the school term (with potential for flexibility). NB.
