Introduction

We are seeking mature individuals with strong relationship building and communication skills to provide support within one of our boys boarding houses.

In the House Assistant role you will have responsibility for providing duty of care to support our students and have the opportunity to be part of the close-knit boarding team who enjoy working together to make a difference in the lives of young people.

This position involves rostered shift work of up to approximately 8 hours per week during the school term, plus 10-12 weekends a year.

The role is available as either a live in or non live in position:

  • Live in – Onsite accommodation, power and meals (when dining in the school dining room) are provided.
  • Non live in – An hourly rate will be paid and meals provided in the dining room

Flexibility, a cheerful attitude, along with the willingness to roll your sleeves up and pitch in are paramount in this rewarding role. You will also need a good understanding of teenagers and an ability to build rapport with them.
