St Paul's Church of England Combined School, Wooburn

St Paul’s Church of England Combined School & Nursery are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA)/1:1 Support Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. Working alongside our teaching staff, you will play an important role in supporting children’s learning, wellbeing and development, helping to raise achievement and enable every child to reach their full potential.

We are proud to have a supportive and committed team, a welcoming and stimulating learning environment, and wonderful children who are eager to learn. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference and helping children to flourish both emotionally and academically.

The school prides itself on creating an environment where every learner feels valued. Classrooms and outdoor learning spaces are designed to spark curiosity, creativity and confidence, giving children the freedom to explore their interests while receiving the structure and guidance they need.

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and committed individual who is passionate about helping children thrive. Experience of working with children with SEND in a school setting would be an advantage, but it is not essential. We recognise that the right person may bring transferable skills, a willingness to learn and a genuine commitment to supporting every child to achieve their best.

The successful candidate will be confident working with children across the primary age range and will be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families. They will be someone who can use their own initiative, work effectively as part of a team and embrace the varied nature of school life with flexibility and enthusiasm.

The role will include delivering targeted interventions, supporting high-quality teaching in the classroom and leading some teaching sessions. It may also involve providing one-to-one support for a child with SEND, helping to remove barriers to learning and enabling them to access the curriculum successfully. Above all, you will play an important part in creating a calm, nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported and able to succeed.

Hours will be from 8:30am to 3.30pm including lunchtime supervision. The role will be for 32.5 hours weekly term-time only.

If you enjoy working with children and feel you could be a valuable member of our team please look through our LSA job description.
