Part‑time Cleaner, 10 hours per week, 2 hours per day – St Paul’s CE Primary School. St Paul’s C of E Primary School is a consistently ‘Good School with Outstanding features’. We are particularly proud of our children, their behaviour towards each other and to their learning. The School is idyllically situated on the borders of Primrose Hill Park. Our one‑form entry school has a friendly and committed staff and supportive parents, which creates a lively and rewarding place to work.

The Cleaner will work as part of a team and will be responsible for varied cleaning in allocated areas of the school, to a high standard and specification. The role is part time, 10 hours per week, across Monday to Friday (for 42 weeks per year). Cleaning experience in a school is preferred, but not essential. We are looking for someone reliable and well‑presented who takes pride in the appearance and hygiene of the school by cleaning to a high standard.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure the cleanliness of your designated area and maintain high and consistent standards.
  • Take initiative to perform cleaning and tidying tasks that are not specifically contained within the rota but require attention as part of maintaining overall high standards.
  • Liaise with the School Business Manager and other members of staff as required to ensure the cleaning rota operates smoothly around both school events and outside lets.
  • Report cleaning supplies requirements and stock levels to the School Business Manager.
  • Ensure Health & Safety, quality and general procedure compliance.
  • Work as part of a team and support other members of the cleaning team to meet standards and school objectives.
  • Report any Health and Safety issues to the School Business Manager.
  • Be prepared to undertake all statutory, or other training as required by the school including, but not limited to, COSHH, Fire Awareness, Safeguarding etc.
  • Secure the school and site at the end of each day and set the school alarm.

We are looking for a reliable, well‑presented cleaner who takes pride in maintaining the appearance and hygiene of the school. Cleaning experience within a school is preferred but not essential.
