About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to join our team as Senior Attendance, Behaviour and Operations Lead. This is a pivotal role within the school, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight across attendance, behaviour, safeguarding systems and key school operations. You will play a critical role in ensuring that all pupils are safe, engaged and supported to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will drive improvements in attendance and behaviour, remove barriers to learning, and ensure robust, effective systems are in place to support the smooth and efficient running of the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on the strategic development and implementation of attendance and behaviour systems.
  • Monitor and drive improvements in pupil attendance, including early intervention and targeted support.
  • Oversee behaviour systems and ensure consistent, high standards across the school.
  • Work in partnership with safeguarding leads to ensure effective systems and processes are in place.
  • Identify and remove barriers to learning for vulnerable pupils.
  • Lead operational systems and processes that support day-to-day school effectiveness.
  • Analyse data to inform decision‑making, planning and targeted interventions.
  • Work closely with senior leaders to contribute to whole‑school improvement priorities.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of leading attendance, behaviour or pastoral systems within a school or similar setting.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Is confident in using data to drive improvement and measure impact.
  • Has a strong understanding of safeguarding, inclusion and pupil welfare.
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, families and staff.
  • Is committed to ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed.
