Salary: Grade 3
Contract: Fixed Term for 12 months (subject to funding)
Hours: Full Time (36.5 hours per week)

About the Role

Lumen Christi Catholic Multi Academy Company and Birmingham Pathfinder are seeking to appoint an outstanding and compassionate Early Years Family Support Worker to join our innovative SEMH Pathfinder team.

This exciting role will be based across St Paul's Catholic Primary School and Hawkesley Primary Academy, supporting babies, young children and their families through high-quality early intervention, family support and community engagement.

The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying and reducing barriers to learning, development and wellbeing, helping families access the right support at the right time. Working within Birmingham Pathfinder's relational and psychologically-informed approach, you will build trusted relationships with children and families, strengthen resilience, and help create positive long-term outcomes.

The Role Will Include:

Delivering targeted Early Help and family support to children and families.

Acting as Lead Professional for an agreed caseload.

Building positive, trusting and strengths-based relationships with families.

Supporting children's early learning and development through EYFS-aligned practice.

Working alongside social care, health professionals, schools and community partners.

Contributing to safeguarding, multi-agency planning and family support processes.

Supporting family engagement activities and ensuring family voice shapes service development.

Promoting inclusive, nurturing and trauma-informed approaches that improve outcomes for children and families.

We Are Looking For Someone Who Has:

Experience supporting vulnerable children and families.

Knowledge of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage.

A strong understanding of safeguarding and Early Help processes.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

The ability to work effectively with families, schools and partner agencies.

A commitment to inclusion, family voice, social justice and improving outcomes for children.
