Position: Full-time, Permanent

Level: Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher

Subjects: English, Health and Physical Education, Learning Languages, Mathematics and Statistics, Science, Social Sciences, Technology, Te Reo Māori, The Arts

This is a permanent, full-time, tagged position for a Catholic teacher.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and highly skilled person to teach in our junior whare (Y0-3). The specific year level will be negotiated.

We are looking for a motivated, collaborative, and enthusiastic Phase One teacher with a growth mindset to join our team, starting Term 1, 2026.

This position requires registration as a New Zealand teacher and a willingness to participate in religious instruction consistent with the school\'s special character, which is a condition of employment.

Our school is committed to making a difference for our students and raising achievement. Experience in Religious Education, Structured Literacy, Mathematics, Mātauranga Māori, and Inquiry Learning will be advantageous. A commitment to quality teaching, passion for education, strong interpersonal skills, a good sense of humour, and the ability to be an effective and empathetic teacher are essential qualities.

St Patrick\'s Kaiapoi is a full primary Catholic school offering education with a special character to children from Year 1 to 8. Established in 1926 by the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions, it is part of St Peter Chanel Parish, Waimakariri.
