St Patrick’s School, Kaiapoi is a Catholic, state-integrated primary school for Years 0 to 8, located in Kaiapoi, in the mighty North Canterbury. We are a vibrant, future-focused learning community with a proud tradition (100 years in fact!) of delivering high-quality education. We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative educator to join our dedicated team from the beginning of 2027.

We’re looking for an educator who:

• is fully registered teacher in New Zealand
• builds strong relationships with students, whānau, and colleagues through excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• embraces and celebrates cultural diversity within the classroom
• has a creative and engaging teaching style that aligns with our school values and vision,
• is committed to ongoing professional growth and collaborative practice
• is passionate about student well-being, equity, and inclusion
• has a well-developed sense of humour
• uses restorative practice
• has a strength in music and/or sport would be an advantage
• is keen to work in a Year 4 to 6 collaborative team - year level to be negotiated.

The successful applicants will be expected to: recognise and respect the school’s Catholic Special Character and be actively involved in the total life of the school, in a manner which respects the religious instruction given and religious observances practiced within the school.
