We have a Learning Support position available for a September start. This is a Term Time Only - Fixed Term Contract for 19.5 hours per week, Wednesday - Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm at NJC 5 £13.26 per hour.

We are seeking to appoint a caring, committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to support children with additional needs, work alongside experienced colleagues and make a genuine difference to children's lives each day. This role would particularly suit someone who is passionate about inclusion, committed to helping every child succeed and enjoys supporting pupils who require additional support, including those learning English as an Additional Language (EAL).

Responsibilities:
  • Supporting individual pupils and small groups to access learning and make progress
  • Working alongside teachers to create a safe, purposeful and inclusive learning environment
  • Delivering and reviewing targeted interventions, including reading and phonics support
  • Supporting pupils' social, emotional and personal development
  • Providing intimate care where required
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, parents and external professionals to support pupil success
Qualifications:
  • Commitment to supporting the Catholic ethos of the school
  • Experience of working in a school setting
  • Experience of working with children who have English as an additional language
  • Commitment to helping children
  • Capacity to show initiative and adapt to the needs of the role
  • Ability to work well as part of the team
