An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Practice Educator to join our expanding St Nicholas Hospice Care (St Nics) Education Team. This role will work across West Suffolk and Thetford, supporting a holistic and consistent approach to the delivery of high quality palliative and end of life care across the wider health and care system.

Main duties of the job:

  • The postholder will be responsible for leading the development of clinical practice education within the Hospice, working alongside our clinical staff to ensure the provision of high quality, safe and compassionate care.
  • As a registrant you will have experience of working within palliative or end of life care, with extensive experience of teaching, mentoring and developing clinical staff.
  • We are seeking someone who can develop creative approaches to the delivery of palliative care learning and development, as well as having a passion and commitment to the values of the hospice.
  • You must be highly organised and have excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • We are looking for an appropriately qualified registrant, with proven experience of working in palliative care and planning, delivering and evaluating education and training.
  • The successful candidate should demonstrate a good understanding of research, with an up-to-date knowledge of palliative care.
