We are recruiting for a People Adviser to join our small, fast-paced and supportive HR team. The role is key in helping us to embed a positive culture and to support wellbeing, people development, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Main duties of the job:
- Provide responsive and proactive support across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, retention, colleague engagement, learning and development, and a range of people-focused projects.
- Play an important part in helping us make St Nicholas Hospice a great place to work, learn, and grow.
- This is a hybrid role with the opportunity to work from home between 1 and 2 days a week.
- The role will also involve regular travel to our retail outlets in Bury St Edmunds and across West Suffolk.
The successful candidate will:
- Be CIPD Level 5 qualified.
- Have experience coaching and advising managers.
- Possess strong working knowledge of employment law and its practical application.
- Be confident in handling a broad range of HR activity within a busy environment.
- Be people centred, organised, and proactive in their approach.
