Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day running of the shop, assisting the Shop Manager and volunteers.
- Contribute to meeting agreed sales targets set by the Shop Manager.
- Processing sales.
- Provide high-quality customer service.
- Actively encourage donors to complete Gift Aid forms for donated items.
- Cashing up, banking and completing reconciliation procedures in the Manager's absence.
- Ensure that all donations are stored and handled using the correct procedures.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Supervisory experience.
- Experience of charity retail preferred.
- Ability to motivate a team of volunteers.
- Deputising, in the absence of the shop manager, to include opening, closing and running of the shop.

We are looking for a part-time Shop Supervisor, who can help us make the most out of every donation, develop a strong community presence and generate vital income for St Nicholas Hospice Care, within Mildenhall.
St Nicholas Hospice Care is a local charity providing help, advice and support to people in West Suffolk and Thetford in the final chapters of their life, who are living with long-term and life-threatening illnesses. Our services are not just for patients, but for their family and friends too. They include everything from specialist medical care to bereavement support and practical help. At our heart is the vision that everyone in our communities has support, dignity and choice when facing dying, death and grief. We do this by living our values: Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Equity.
Location: Barton Road, Bury Saint Edmunds, UK.
Contract: Permanent, Part Time, 15 hours per week, £25,050 per annum (£10,155 pro rata).
