About the role
We’re looking for a proactive and hands‑on Donation & Warehouse Manager to lead our busy Donation Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a fast‑paced warehouse operation at the heart of our retail network. You’ll play a key role in maximising income for the hospice by ensuring donated goods are efficiently processed, distributed, and utilised—supporting both sustainability and our vital services. You will be required to work 5 days over a 7 day rota Monday to Sunday inclusive.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring efficient goods-in and goods-out processes
- Managing stock flow and distribution to retail outlets, maximising value and recycling opportunities
- Supervising and developing a team of staff, drivers and volunteers
- Ensuring high standards of health and safety, including risk assessments and training
- Overseeing vehicle logistics, maintenance and route planning
- Maintaining a safe, clean and well‑organised working environment
About you
You will:
- Have experience in warehouse, logistics or retail operations
- Be a confident leader with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team
- Have strong organisational and problem‑solving skills
- Be hands‑on, flexible and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
- Have a good understanding of health and safety practices
- Be passionate about sustainability and the role of charity retail
