About the Event
St Neots Initiative is hosting The Big Listen, a community event taking place on 5th June 2026 in St Neots, bringing residents, organisations and local leaders together around one shared table. Through a series of talks and open conversations, the event creates space for people to share ideas, experiences and aspirations for their town.
The Role
As PR & Outreach Coordinator, you will be the bridge between The Big Listen and the wider world — handling press enquiries, building relationships with media contacts and managing communications with partners and VIP guests in the lead-up to the event.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming press queries and proactively reach out to local media contacts
- Draft and distribute press releases and event information
- Manage communications with event partners and VIP guests
- Coordinate with the Content & Storytelling Lead to ensure message alignment
What We Are Looking For
- Experience or strong interest in PR, communications or journalism
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confident, professional manner in dealing with external contacts
- Organised and able to manage multiple relationships at once
- No previous professional experience is required.
