The Big Listen is a community event taking place on 5th June 2026 in St Neots, bringing residents, organisations and local leaders together around one shared table. Through a series of talks and open conversations, the event creates space for people to share ideas, experiences and aspirations for their town.

As a Steward, you will play a vital role in keeping the event running safely and smoothly. Positioned around the main event space, you will help manage the audience, distribute microphones during discussions and monitor the wellbeing of attendees throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be stationed around the event table to pass and retrieve microphones during discussions
  • Monitor the wellbeing of attendees and flag any concerns to the event lead
  • Assist with crowd management and carry out crowd control plans if needed
  • Help direct guests and keep the event space safe and orderly
What We Are Looking For:
  • Alert, calm and reliable approach
  • Good situational awareness and ability to act quickly if needed
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods in a busy environment
  • Friendly and approachable manner
