Assessment Support Worker Oxford £33,797 – £37,563 pa Do you want to work in a role where no day is the same and make a real difference to the lives of people experiencing homelessness in Oxford? The Rough Sleeping Team in Oxford provide a rapid response service to support people at immediate risk of rough sleeping. We are currently looking for inspirational people to join the Somewhere Safe to Stay Service (SSTS) team as Assessment and Reconnection Workers where no day is the same. You will work as part of a busy, dedicated team while developing the necessary skills to: * Provide direct support to people new to, or at risk of rough sleeping; working closely with individuals on assessment action plans which fully involves them in their recovery. To do this you will build positive working relationships with a range of services and individuals across Oxford. * Work on the weekly shift rota including shifts from Mon – Fri 9am – 5pm, and some weekends and bank holidays where required. About you We are always on the lookout for enthusiastic people to join us. If you have a genuine desire to support people to transform their lives you don’t need to have direct experience to succeed in these roles. If you have good interpersonal and listening skills, patience and resilience and the ability to adapt to new situations we will provide you with the rest through our training and development programs where you will develop the skills to provide high-quality person-centred support to clients. If you have a good understanding of the complex issues faced by homeless people and the ability to manage complex behaviours and to deal with people who may be in a difficult personal or emotional situation, we encourage you to apply!
