Key Results

  • CQC Registered Manager responsibility for the holistic care of residents and management of the home.
  • Continuous service improvement for resident satisfaction levels.
  • Knowledge of current and future industry standards/changes is maintained, further enhancing the clinical and nursing care of residents.
  • Plan for future care and staffing needs/developments.
  • Control and manage the care home finances and occupancy levels to meet performance targets.
  • Oversee compliance, complaint resolution, safeguarding, CQC reporting, incident reporting, health and safety and investigations.
  • Leadership and people development duties; direction of the home to implement long-term vision and goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and networks.
  • Participate in policy development, lead in meetings and on projects.

  • Communication: Presents complex or sensitive information to a diverse audience. Strong verbal and written communication skills including report writing. Adapts style and uses persuasive messaging; strong negotiator.
  • Thinking Style: Uses sophisticated and advanced technical/commercial and problem-solving skills to enhance service area/discipline. Requires conceptual thinking to understand complex issues and their implications.
  • Leadership: Long term planning for service sustainability and longevity. Visible collaborative and positive leadership skills. Overall profit and loss accountability with Exec member.

Other Skills and Qualifications

  • Essential: Qualified and NMC Registered Nurse (adult level 1), Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent), 4 years or more of relevant equivalent management experience, working knowledge and understanding of the CQC Regulations.
  • Desirable: Educated to degree level or equivalent, experience undertaking clinical supervisions.
