We’re now seeking a Village Manager to lead one of our thriving retirement communities, shaping an exceptional resident experience while driving operational and commercial success.

The Role

As Village Manager, you’ll be the senior leader of the retirement community, accountable for both the day-to-day experience of residents and the long-term success and development of the village. This is a highly visible leadership role, combining strategic thinking, commercial awareness, and a genuine passion for creating environments where people feel connected, valued and inspired.

You’ll oversee all aspects of village life, from resident wellbeing and community engagement to financial performance and service innovation, acting as both the public face of the village and a key contributor to the wider retirement living.

    • Take accountability for resident wellbeing, happiness and sense of belonging

  • Strategic Leadership & Service Development

  • Operational Excellence
    • Oversee all village operations, ensuring consistently high standards
    • Manage financial performance, including full P&L accountability
    • Ensure compliance with health & safety, GDPR and regulatory requirements
    • Oversee property management, sales, leasing and resident transitions
    • Build and maintain strong external partnerships
  • Commercial Accountability
    • Maximise occupancy, income and long-term sustainability
    • Apply a strong commercial lens to decision-making
    • Identify opportunities to strengthen financial performance

    • Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing team

About You

You’re someone who takes pride in doing work that matters and understands the importance of creating a positive, welcoming environment for others. You’re reliable, respectful and enjoy working as part of a team to support the day-to-day experience of residents, colleagues and visitors.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Proven leadership experience in housing, retirement living, hospitality or similar environments
  • Track record of delivering exceptional customer or resident outcomes
  • Strong commercial acumen, including P&L responsibility
  • Ability to operate strategically while managing day-to-day complexity
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Experience building and developing high-performing teams
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements

Desirable:

  • Experience within the retirement living or later living sector
  • Understanding of care sector requirements
  • Experience contributing to service design or innovation
  • Experience managing mixed-use or community-based environments
